IUGC establishment purpose and action guidelines

Purpose of establishment

  • Encourage mathematicians from diverse fields (including number theory, geometry, algebra, logic, etc.) to take the initial steps to familiarize themselves with the various aspects of IUT relevant to their primary research areas.

  • Facilitate dialogue between IUT experts and all mathematicians interested in the theory.

  • Strive to find innovative means of disseminating the concepts and ideas of anabelian geometry and IUT that cater to the needs of mathematicians from different backgrounds and positions.

  • Actively engage in editing concise explanatory materials and organizing lectures to enable mathematicians unfamiliar with IUT theory to grasp its core principles within a few weeks or months.

  • Contribute to the growth of IUT expertise and the advancement of research in this field.

  • IUTOrganize international workshops and research seminars on IUT and related subjects.

The IUCG Code of Practice

  • 1

As a collective of professional mathematicians, we will base our actions and decisions solely on mathematical correctness and value, excluding influences from beyond mathematical correctness and value (e.g., social, or political criteria).

  • 2

We operate as a group of mathematicians acting independently of other mathematical organizations or research bodies.

  • 3

With the above principles in mind, we continually strive to identify means to normalizing the global situation within the mathematical community concerning the IUT theory.
